Hi, guys. Awhile back, I made this post on reimbursable bad debt and since then I’ve received multiple questions about it. I put together a brief video detailing what this is, how it relates to the 20-day rehab stay at most nursing homes, and how to avoid unsafe discharges. 99% of the nursing homes out there just don’t get this. Would you trade $1300 to make $10k? I would all day long and so would other administrators if they just understood Medicare reimbursement. Make more in reimbursement, extend your Medicare length of stay, and promote safe discharges that keep you in compliance and enhance your community image.
