You're no troubleshooter - you're an imposter!

For shame!  I hear this all the time and have followed supposed “troubleshooters” in many buildings.  The same folks who fail to get the facility even halfway back on track.  I’m pulling your “troubleshooter” card as of now!  You’re not a troubleshooter; you’re an interim.  There’s a big difference.

We need to set some ground rules as some of you are tarnishing our good name.

Rule #1 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter unless you have gone into at least 3 facilities with IJ’s or on fast-track and cleared them.

Rule #2 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter if you can’t make your own budget.

Rules #3 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter if you don’t know the first thing about census development.

Rule #4 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter when you’ve only worked in one facility.

Rule #5 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter when you fail to rid the facility of its worst employees.

Rule #6 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter when you are the only one who refers to you as a troubleshooter.

Rule #7 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter when you leave issues you don’t want to have to deal with for the next guy.

Rule #8 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter if you can’t write a Plan of Correction.

Rule #9 – You can’t call yourself a troubleshooter if you can’t ensure your Plan of Correction is being completed.

Rule #10 – Finally, you can’t call yourself a troubleshooter when you haven’t actually solved a problem.

Thank you for listening to the rant.  If you have any rules you’d like to add, feel free!
